Wenatchee Valley Medical Group Sponsors Precious Little Theater in Celebration of the PAC’s 25th Season
The Numerica Performing Arts Center’s 25th anniversary season reached a meaningful milestone with the debut of Precious Little Theater, a new documentary celebrating the people, stories, and creative spirit that have shaped the PAC into a cultural anchor for the Wenatchee Valley. As the presenting sponsor, Wenatchee Valley Medical Group (WVMG) helped bring the film to life, underscoring the organization’s belief that the arts play a vital role in the health and vitality of the region.
The premiere drew a sold‑out audience and an immediate encore screening was added, reflecting the deep affection the community holds for the PAC and its 25‑year legacy.
The Arts Support Community Health
WVMG’s sponsorship reflects a core belief shared by its physician leaders: health is multidimensional. "True well‑being is more than the absence of disease. It is about physical health, mental health, spiritual health, and feeling like you belong," says Dr. Jennifer Jorgensen, President of WVMG.
“The arts contribute to the health and vitality of our region. They bring joy, inspiration, creativity, and community — all essential ingredients to help people thrive beyond the clinic or hospital.”
She notes that the PAC plays a unique role in creating connection across generations. “The PAC does more than entertain us. It connects us. It gives our kids a stage to grow, offers adults a meaningful and fun night out, and creates shared moments that make this Valley feel like home.”
The Arts Attract Top Medical Talent
Wenatchee’s thriving arts community also strengthens the region’s ability to recruit physicians and their families — a responsibility Dr. Jorgensen carries firsthand.
“Many people have never heard of Wenatchee,” she explains. “Those who have, know about our natural beauty, our ski resort, and our incredible trail system. But many do not know we also have a thriving arts community — and that greatly enhances our quality of life.”
Because Precious Little Theater will be shown across the state, it offers a compelling introduction to the region’s creative energy and community spirit. “It’s a great recruiting tool,” she adds.
A Film Rooted in Local Storytelling
The premiere program opened with Miracle on the Avenue, a short documentary chronicling the community’s bold effort three decades ago to build a performing arts center from the ground up. The feature film, Precious Little Theater, follows the personal journeys of four directors and offers a behind‑the‑scenes look at the subtle and sometimes explosive power of performance art. It is, at its heart, a love letter to the PAC and to the people who make it come alive.
The project also honors long-time supporters, including Executive Producer Rudi Pauly, whose decades of commitment to the PAC helped make the film possible.
A Night to Remember
The premiere brought together artists, families, longtime patrons, and community leaders — many of whom appear in the film. Reflecting on the evening, Dr. Jorgensen described it as a powerful reminder of what the arts make possible.
“It was an amazing night — the room was full of passionate people who care about the arts, our community, and the connection the arts create. There was laughter and tears. It was really special.”
