Strengthening Community Health: 50 Local Organizations Receive $500,000 in Grants

This year, fifty nonprofit organizations across North Central Washington received a combined $500,000 in grants to advance projects that strengthen the health and wellness of the region. Each organization—rooted in Chelan, Douglas, Grant, or Okanogan counties—brings its own vision for improving community well‑being, and together they represent a powerful network of local impact.

These grants are made possible through the Community Health Partnership Fund, jointly funded by Confluence Health and the Wenatchee Valley Medical Group (WVMG) and administered by the Confluence Health Foundation. For years, this fund has supported community organizations, but in 2025 it took on a new name—transitioning from the Community Partnership Fund to the Community Health Partnership Fund—to better reflect its purpose: investing directly in community health initiatives and the social determinants that shape long‑term well‑being.

The 2025 grant cycle drew record demand, with more than $3.5 million in requests, underscoring both the growing needs of local communities and the importance of sustained investment in grassroots health efforts. Each eligible organization may submit one proposal per year, and all recipients are 501(c)(3) nonprofits serving North Central Washington.

WVMG’s Commitment to Community Health

As a co‑funder of the Community Health Partnership Fund, Wenatchee Valley Medical Group plays a central role in ensuring that local organizations have the resources to address health challenges where they begin—at home, in schools, in neighborhoods, and in community spaces. WVMG’s investment reflects its long‑standing belief that healthcare extends beyond the clinic and into the daily lives of the people it serves.

A Region Moving Forward Together

From youth programs and food access initiatives to mental health services, cultural education, and digital equity efforts, every one of the 50 funded organizations contributes to a healthier, more resilient North Central Washington.

Through its partnership in the Community Health Partnership Fund, Wenatchee Valley Medical Group is proud to help make these investments possible—supporting local leaders, strengthening community organizations, and advancing health in every corner of the region.
